About

I’m Rebecca Hathaway, a freelance web and print designer living in Berkeley, CA with my awesome husband and two whiny cats.

LIST OF BORING FACTS

  • I’ve been on the web since the dark ages 1995, when I created my first website on Geocities.
  • I have a degree in useless English, with an even more useless minor (medieval studies). I’m currently applying for slightly-less-useless master’s programs.
  • My day job is completely unrelated to design, but I’m in charge of designing and maintaining the company intranet site. Occasionally I get to design pretty forms.
  • I love letterpress. I discovered it while I was designing my wedding invitations, learned that the San Francisco Center for the Book offers introductory classes, and promptly signed up for them.
  • It quickly became an addiction, and now I’m a letterpress apprentice at Painted Tongue Studios in Oakland. I’m having a blast learning more about printing, graphic design, and business development. I’m looking forward to working on some new web design projects for the studio that are currently in the very early stages of planning.
  • My other (inanimate) loves are coffee, cheese, food, and books.
